  Smoking Loon The Original Pinot Noir is a Californian Red Wine from California in the USA made from 100% Pinot Noir, bottled at 13.5% ABV.

  The Original is the house's foundation cuvée and an approachable introduction to the Pinot Noir grape, otherwise known for being notoriously fussy to grow. California's sunny climate gives the grapes the ripeness needed for a full, fruit-driven style - without the complexity that can make the grape intimidating for beginners.

  Nose

  Brilliant garnet colour accompanied by a seductive aroma of rose petals and green tea.

  Palate

  Deeply extracted cherry and strawberry flavours, with a light tannic edge reminiscent of pomegranate seeds.

  Finish

  Fresh and fruity, of moderate length.

  Serving & Food Pairing

  Serve at 14-16°C in a red wine glass. The wine pairs well with grilled chicken, duck and lighter meat dishes, or can be enjoyed on its own.
