A sweet, fresh and effervescent moscato with plenty of lovely body and convincing grape character - enjoy it with dessert, or chilled on a hot summer day.

    Expert's Description

Val D'oca Mos Moscato Spumante Dolce is a Sparkling Wine from Italy with an alcohol content of 6.5%. Val D'oca traces its roots back to 1952, when 129 farmers in post-war Italy founded Cantina Produttori di Valdobbiadene, and the cooperative today counts around 600 members farming over 1,000 hectares across the hilly Prosecco landscapes between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene north of Venice. The Moscato grape naturally lends an aromatic, floral sweetness, and the low alcohol content makes this edition particularly light and refreshing.

About Val Doca Spumante

Val D'Oca is an Italian producer of Prosecco and other sparkling wines, organized as a cooperative of grape growers in the heart of the Prosecco district in Veneto. By pooling resources from many smaller vineyards, the cooperative ensures consistent, high quality across the whole range, from light, accessible Prosecco to more complex spumante expressions. For newcomers, Val D'Oca is a reliable, easy-drinking introduction to Italian bubbles, while the value-conscious consumer will appreciate the solid quality at a sensible price that the cooperative model makes possible.

History & Background

Val D'Oca was founded as a cooperative in the Valdobbiadene area, the heartland of original Prosecco production, where hundreds of smaller grape growers joined forces to stand stronger in the market. The model has allowed the cooperative to invest in modern production facilities and quality control that individual, smaller vineyards could not otherwise afford on their own. Today Val D'Oca is one of the best-known names from Valdobbiadene, known for delivering consistent quality at scale without compromising the Italian sparkling wine tradition.

Production & Style

The three classic cava grapes are harvested locally in Penedès and undergo secondary fermentation in the bottle, after which the wine ages on the lees for several months before disgorgement and finishing.

Signature Style

Fresh, Citrusy, Light
Green apple and citrus up front, with a fine, persistent bead and a dry, refreshing finish.
