  El Tequileño Cristalino Reposado Tequila is a Mexican Cristalino Reposado Tequila made from 100% agave and bottled at 35%.

  Behind the bottle stands El Tequileño, founded in 1959 by Don Jorge Salles Cuervo in the town of Tequila itself. The house distils exclusively at its own distillery, La Guarreña, one of only around ten distilleries in Mexico that produce tequila solely for their own brand. Today third-generation master distiller Tony Salles leads production, carrying on the craft his grandfather started.

  The Cristalino expression starts life as the house Reposado, matured four months in American oak, before passing through a careful charcoal filtration. The process removes the colour the oak left behind, but not the roundness and depth the ageing has added - the result looks like a Blanco, yet tastes like something more.

  A Blanco that isn't simply bottled straight off the still. El Tequileño lets Platinum rest 14 days in American oak before bottling - too short to add colour, but enough to smooth its sharpest edges.

  El Tequileño Platinum Blanco Tequila is a Mexican Blanco Tequila made from 100% agave and bottled at 40%.

  The house of El Tequileño was founded in 1959 by Don Jorge Salles Cuervo in the town of Tequila, where the family still distils at its own facility, La Guarreña. The agave comes from the house's own fields, where blue Weber agave is grown and harvested before being cooked and distilled a stone's throw from the town centre.

  Platinum is the purest expression in the range. The 14 days in oak barrels add neither colour nor pronounced wood character, but are enough to give the tequila a gentler, more rounded character than a straight-bottled Blanco - still crystal clear, with an extra layer underneath.

  The Gran Reserva expression is a blend: tequila aged at least eight months in American oak, joined by a portion of Añejo that has rested for 18 months.
