The tequila comes from the La Guarreña distillery in the town of Tequila, Jalisco, founded in 1959 by Don Jorge Salles Cuervo. El Tequileño is one of only around ten tequila brands in the world made exclusively at its own distillery, and its agave comes from the Los Altos region, regarded as one of the finest growing areas for blue agave. The Reposado expression rests for around 3 months in American oak barrels.
