Galliano L'Aperitivo was developed together with one of the world's most celebrated bartenders, Ago Perrone, building on the house's century-old tradition of Italian herbal liqueur, in a fresh, citrus-forward style made for aperitivo hour.
Expert description
Galliano L'Aperitivo Liqueur is an Italian herbal liqueur at 24% ABV, developed by Galliano as a fresh interpretation of the classic house style. The 50 CL bottle contains a long list of extracts and infusions of Mediterranean fruits such as orange, bergamot, chinotto, mandarin and grapefruit, giving the liqueur a distinctly fresh, citrus-forward character. The recipe was developed together with bartender Ago Perrone and is intended as a versatile base for aperitivo cocktails.
The combination of bitter and sweet citrus notes makes the liqueur well suited both to sipping neat over ice and as a building block in cocktails, where it adds complexity without overpowering the other ingredients.
Taste
The taste is fresh and citrus-forward, with distinct notes of orange, bergamot and grapefruit, balanced by a light bitterness from chinotto and a soft sweetness in the finish.
