Ron del Barrilito was founded in the 1880s by the Fernández family and is considered Puerto Rico's oldest rum brand, named after the small barrels ("barrilitos") the rum was originally blended and sold from. The family has kept production small and traditional across generations, with blends like 2-Star and 3-Star still following recipes several generations old.
