About Boulder Spirits Whiskey

Boulder Spirits, formerly known as Vapor Distillery, is Colorado's longest-established distillery, founded in 2007. The distillery is run by Scotsman Alastair Brogan, who has helped shape the American Single Malt Whiskey category.

History & Background

Vapor Distillery, today Boulder Spirits, is the oldest distillery in Boulder County and has produced award-winning, handcrafted spirits since 2007. Alastair Brogan, a Scotsman whose ambition was to create a whiskey with a distinct American accent, followed his dream to Colorado and joined an existing gin distillery. His work has helped make American Single Malt Whiskey a recognised category, and the distillery was among the first to release a Bottled-in-Bond American Single Malt.

Production & Style

The distillery houses Colorado's largest pot still, a striking 1,000-gallon copper still imported from Scotland, and combines old-school Scottish distilling traditions with bold American innovation.
