The Bounder Spirits distillery is a small Colorado whiskey company with big dreams and even bigger goals. Made from 100% imported malted barley and with long fermentation and distillation times, Boulder Spirits New American Single Malt Whiskey is rich in flavor, with plenty of juice and power. Aged in a freshly toasted American oak barrel #1216 for a minimum of 6 years, it is bottled exclusively for Whisky.dk by Alastair Brogan.

Alastair Brogan provides the following notes:

Nose: Graham crackers, white peach, fruit leather
Palate: Apricot with a hint of nutmeg
Finish: Cinnamon, oak, and molasses

The Bourbon Nerd - Henrik Brandt describes it as follows:
Nose: Lovely sweetness and very balanced alcohol. I immediately detect both vanilla and caramel – undoubtedly due to the new casks. The malt is somewhat subdued at first but gradually becomes more pronounced. No smoke.

Palate: "Yum" is the first impression, and I'm already getting acquainted with it before it even hits my tongue. Really good mouthfeel – and the malt now becomes distinctly evident. Lovely sweetness that harmonizes well with the other impressions.

Finish: Very pleasant and with a good length.

Conclusion: A truly lovely whiskey and one of the best American single malts I've tasted. Measured purely on quality, it scores 89 points and sneaks up to a full 91, considering the price. It's a clear recommendation from me.
