Boulder 10 Essentials American Single Malt Whiskey is the distillery's approachable core expression, bottled at 49.5%. Boulder Spirits was founded by Scotsman Alastair Brogan, who moved to Colorado in 2011 and started the distillery as Vapor Distillery. The goal was to create a single malt whiskey 'unique to Colorado with a Scottish accent'. The distillery installed one of Colorado's largest copper pot stills and helped establish the American Single Malt Whiskey category, which was only officially recognised in the US in 2025.
