History & Background

St Germain was launched in 2007 by Robert J. Cooper, who wanted to capture the fleeting flavour of French elderflower, an ingredient traditionally found only in homemade cordial. The flowers are still picked entirely by hand during a short spring season, mostly by locals in the Alpine region, and rushed to distillation to preserve their freshness. The liqueur revolutionised the cocktail world by making an almost impossible ingredient available year-round.
