Equipo Navazos Gin is a Spanish gin from the acclaimed Equipo Navazos team, originally known for their work sourcing rare sherry bottlings from the Jerez region. For the newcomer, the gin is an aromatic, slightly saline and complex experience, quite different from more neutral gins; for the connoisseur, the connection to Equipo Navazos' sherry expertise is the whole point, since the gin often draws on the same cask-ageing techniques and terroir understanding the house is world-renowned for in sherry.

History & Background

Equipo Navazos was founded in 2005 by Eduardo Ojeda and Jesús Barquín, two sherry enthusiasts who began seeking out and bottling exceptional, often forgotten casks of sherry directly from the bodegas around Jerez de la Frontera. The team quickly earned an international reputation for rescuing rare, single casks from being blended into standard production. The gin project is a newer branch of the business, where the same philosophy of highlighting terroir and cask character has been carried over into an entirely different spirit category.
