Sall WhiskySALL WHISKY DISTILLERY RELEASES FIRST BATCH OF ORGANIC NEW MAKE AT WHISKY FAIR Sall Whisky Distillery began as an idea conceived in a construction trailer amidst biting frost during an archaeological excavation in the Jutland soil several years ago. The seven young founders have since found great success with a crowdfunding campaign and, with strong support from the local community in Sall, they have realized a new organic whisky distillery in East Jutland. Here, the seven young men produce whisky exclusively with organic grain from Lars’ fields, who is one of the owners and an organic farmer. Since the beginning, their dream has been to sow, cultivate, and harvest the crops to create a hyperlocal, organic whisky where they can even include the field names on their bottles. After a few intense years of financing, self-building, and installing and commissioning the distillery’s equipment, the guys from Sall now have a finished first batch, which was casked in 2019. |
