Grand Marnier has united cognac and bitter orange since 1880, but with Grande Cuvée Révélation the house goes a step further, drawing on some of the oldest cognac stocks it holds in its cellars.
Expert's Description
Grand Marnier Révélation Grande Cuvée is a French cognac and orange liqueur at 40% ABV, in which the house elevates its classic blend using XXO cognac with a touch of orange essence.
Thanks to an extremely high cognac content – 68 eaux-de-vie exclusively from Grande Champagne with a minimum age of 14 years – Grande Cuvée Révélation represents one of the most exclusive expressions Grand Marnier has ever made. It is released in a limited annual batch.
Taste
The nose is rich and inviting with an intense bouquet of dried fruits such as fig and apricot, combined with toasted almonds, walnuts and subtle hints of cocoa and vanilla. The palate is deep and complex, where ripe orange opens the experience and is immediately balanced by the elegant, powerful notes of the cognac, with hints of caramel, toffee and spice. The finish is long and lingering, with a pleasant warmth and a sweet, fruity finale.
