Merrys Liqueur

An Irish cream liqueur born out of confectionery, not whiskey. Merry's began as an Irish chocolate and sweet maker, long before it found its way into a bottle. The result is an Irish Cream that tastes as much of the chocolate factory as of the whiskey distillery.

Merry & Co., founded in 1868 in the southeast of Ireland. The modern cream liqueur was first produced in 1994 and is today made in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, in the heart of the fertile dairying region known as the Golden Vale, from where the liqueur is now exported to over 20 countries.

About Merrys Cream Liqueur

Merry's Irish Cream Liqueur is an Irish cream liqueur made with fresh cream, Irish whiskey and chocolate notes, crafted by the Irish family business Merry's, which has its roots in confectionery and sweet-making. For the newcomer it's a light, creamy experience with hints of mocha and caramel; for the connoisseur, the gold medal from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2014 proves Merry's can match the far more famous Irish cream brands on both quality and finesse.

History & Background

Merry's has its roots in Irish confectionery and sweet production, a tradition that predates the company's first bottles of Irish Cream. The move from chocolate and toffee into liquid dessert was a natural step for a company that already mastered the balance of sweetness, cream and flavour. Today Merry's Irish Cream competes with the big international brands and has won international recognition, including a gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2014.

Production & Style
