William Grant founded the company in 1887, after years working in the whisky trade and saving up for his own distillery. The distinctive triangular bottle, designed to stand stable even on a rolling ship's deck, has followed the brand for decades and is now as much a part of its identity as the whisky itself.

Grant's is a blend where malt and grain whiskies from several distilleries are brought together by the house's blenders, drawing on knowledge passed down through generations.
