Persian lime and vanilla form the backbone of this spiced rum, named after the British naval admiral Edward Vernon, credited with inventing grog.
Expert Description
Admiral's Old J Spiced Rum is a Spiced Rum-based Spirit Drink from the United Kingdom, bottled at 35%.
The rum is built on a Caribbean rum base, spiced with a classic combination of Persian lime and vanilla complemented by cinnamon, nutmeg and a touch of clove. The range is named after Admiral Edward "Old Grog" Vernon, the 18th-century British naval admiral whose nickname is said to have given its name to the watered-down rum ration, "grog", served to British naval sailors.

Did You Know?
Admiral Edward Vernon's nickname "Old Grog" stemmed from the grosgrain fabric his coat was made of, and his decision to dilute the navy's rum rations in 1740 later gave its name to the drink "grog".
