  Bobby was born in Indonesia and emigrated to the Netherlands in the 1950s, but the longing for the flavours of home followed him, and he began adding Indonesian spices to Dutch jenever in his own kitchen.

  Bobby's Schiedam Dry Gin is a Dutch gin distilled in Schiedam and bottled at 42%.

  The gin was launched in 2014 by Bobby's grandson Sebastiaan, who reinterpreted his grandfather's homemade recipe into a modern gin distilled in Schiedam, gin's historic capital.

  Eight botanicals go into the recipe, where traditional ingredients like juniper, coriander seed and fennel meet Indonesian spices such as lemongrass, cubeb pepper and cinnamon.

  Each botanical is distilled separately before being blended together, creating a complex flavour profile where lemongrass's fresh spiciness takes the lead.
