It was the scent of his mother's smoked cheese from his childhood on Funen that led founder Jens-Erik Jørgensen to gather fresh nettles in the forest and use them to smoke his first batch of whisky malt instead of traditional peat. The same signature plant returns here, used directly in a snaps.

  The nettles for this snaps are picked in Farre's own forest, close to the distillery, giving a green, slightly sharp character the distillery itself describes as the taste of Danish forest.
