Maison Delas Freres

Maison Delas Frères was founded in 1835 in Saint Jean de Muzols, in the heart of Saint-Joseph. In 1977 the renowned Champagne Deutz took over the house, sparking a major modernization. It's more than 180 years of Rhône wine history, carried into a new era of modern winemaking.

    Maison Delas Freres Gigondas Les Reinages 2020 is a Red Wine from France from the Gigondas appellation, made from a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, bottled at 15% ABV.

    Gigondas lies in the southern Rhône, right next to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and the appellation is known for powerful, garrigue-scented red wines built on old Grenache vines. Les Reinages is Delas' well-balanced interpretation of the style, where Syrah adds structure and spicy depth.

    Nose

    Perfumed raspberry and cherry with notes of flowers and sappy garrigue.

    Palate

    Medium-bodied with good acidity and an elegant, balanced structure.

    Finish

    Medium length with a hint of spicy garrigue.

    Vacqueyras is one of the oldest recognised cru appellations in the southern Rhône and sits right next to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, sharing the same warm climate and stony soil that give the grapes intense ripening. The 2019 vintage is now in its mature drinking window, with rounded tannins and good complexity.
