Bellamy’s Reserve Rum Jamaica Pot Still Rum 70 cl 43%

Bellamy’s Reserve Rum Jamaica Pot Still Rum is a spirit with a clear Jamaican identity, created through pot still distillation from both Long Pond and Clarendon. This production style gives the rum depth, richness and plenty of aromatic power. It leans into the classic Jamaican profile with fruitiness, esters and a naturally light funky edge – yet remains rounded and easy‑drinking at 43%.

On the nose you’re met with ripe tropical fruits, banana, pineapple and a hint of overripe mango, combined with vanilla, gentle oak and a mild spicy note. There is also a subtle touch of fermented fruit and sugarcane juice, contributing to the rum’s authentic pot still character.

The palate is soft but full of personality: caramel and brown sugar sweetness, tropical fruit, a touch of citrus and a light dryness from the cask. The Jamaican pot still signature shows itself through esters, warm spices and a delicate funky undertone that adds character without becoming overpowering.

The finish is medium‑long with lingering notes of fruit, vanilla and a mild, rounded spicy warmth.

About Bellamys Reserve

Bellamy's Reserve Rum draws its identity from the pirate captain Black Sam Bellamy's short but dramatic career in the early 1700s. The rum is a Caribbean-inspired blend imported in a limited number, aimed at those who want a story of the sea in the bottle.

History & Background

Samuel Bellamy captained the ship Whydah Gally, which wrecked off Cape Cod in 1717 carrying an enormous treasure – today one of the most famous pirate shipwreck finds in history. The bottle builds on this story, linking the rum category to classic pirate mythology.

Production & Style

The rum is a blend of Caribbean rums, matured in oak casks, with a style emphasising sweetness, spice and a warm, round finish.

Signature Style

Spiced, Sweet, Round
Caramel and dark cane sugar meet warm spice and a light smoky undertone – a rum matching its dramatic story.
