Aberargie Distillery is a modern, family‑owned Scottish distillery located in Perthshire, founded by the Morrison family with a clear ambition to create whisky rooted in tradition and local identity. The distillery works exclusively with home‑grown barley from its own fields and oversees the entire process from grain to bottle. Its philosophy is built on classic production methods, slow distillation and carefully selected first fill casks, giving the whisky a clean, natural and characterful style. This single malt whisky has been carefully selected by Mac Y for their 25th anniversary celebrations, which took place in September 2021. It is a peated whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in Ruby Port casks.

The nose offers a sweet peat smoke leading to rich chocolate cake and freshly planed oak with notes of rolled tobacco and cracked leather. The palate is rich and smooth with notes of strawberry and raspberry leading to sand cake and cocoa with hints of milk chocolate and coffee beans. The finish is long and complex with notes of rich summer wine, smoked barbeque sauce and dried dark fruits.
