Heering Cherry Liqueur is a classic Danish cherry liqueur, founded in Copenhagen in the early 1800s and since exported globally. History & background

Heering Cherry Liqueur was created by Peter F. Heering in Copenhagen in 1818, and the recipe has remained largely unchanged since. The liqueur gained early royal recognition at the Danish court, giving it a reputation for quality that followed it out into export markets. During the 1900s, Heering became a staple ingredient in international cocktail bars, particularly known from classics like the Singapore Sling, invented at Raffles Hotel in Singapore, and Blood and Sand. More than 200 years after its founding, Heering remains one of the most recognisable Danish spirits products on the world market.
