Nøgne Ø Dark Horizon 8 Whisky Edition is a massive, intense and uncompromising imperial coffee stout – one of the heaviest and most complex beers to come out of Norway. This special edition is infused with whisky character, adding even deeper layers of warmth, smoke and barrel influence. At 16% ABV, it is a beer meant to be sipped slowly and enjoyed like a dessert in itself.

It pours pitch black with a thick, oily viscosity. The aroma offers espresso, dark chocolate, dried fruit, molasses and clear whisky notes from the barrel influence. The flavour is intense and full‑bodied, with powerful notes of coffee, roasted malts, liquorice, dark caramel and a warming alcohol profile, all tied together by an elegant touch of whisky, oak and vanilla. The finish is long, deep and warm, with lingering bitterness, sweetness and barrel notes.
