  Speybridge 2011/2023 is a Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Wilson & Morgan, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2023 after 12 years of maturation at 57.1%.

  The whisky is matured in a refill butt and first fill Oloroso sherry butt, cask no. 3589, giving an intense sherry character with clear tannin and a wine-like, aperitif-style bitterness.

  Tasting Notes

  Nose

  Dry, tight Oloroso sherry with hints of bitter aperitif, orange peel and roasted chestnut.

  Palate

  Full and wine-like with sherry tannin, dried fruit and a warm alcoholic edge.

  Finish

  Long and dry with lingering nuts and a lightly bitter sherry close.

  Expert's Description

  Speybridge 2012/2022 is a Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Wilson & Morgan, distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2022 after 10 years of maturation at 46%.

  The whisky has been given a sherry finish in Pedro Ximénez casks, cask no. 1623, 1624 and 1625, giving a sweet, dark character layered on top of the underlying Speyside malt.

  Tasting Notes

  Nose

  Sweet PX sherry with raisin, dark caramel and a hint of malt.

  Palate

  Soft and sweet with dried fruit, chocolate and a light spiced warmth.

  Finish

  Medium length with lingering sherry sweetness and a dry close.
