Poli 5 Year Old Conclave Pure Malt Whisky is the distillery's age-stated pure malt expression, matured for at least 5 years, bottled at 46%. Poli Distillerie was founded in 1898 by GioBatta Poli in Schiavon in Italy's Veneto region, originally using a mobile still to distil grappa from local grape skins. After four generations, the distillery is today run by siblings Jacopo, Giampaolo, Barbara and Andrea Poli, who in the 1980s renewed the business with a focus on craftsmanship, small batches and single-varietal grappa. Alongside its famous grappa, the family today also produces whisky, brandy and gin.

About Poli

The Poli distillery in the northern Italian town of Bassano del Grappa, founded in 1898 by Jacopo Poli, is best known for its grappa, but the house today also produces whisky under the same high quality standards. The family remains at the helm, with Jacopo Poli Jr. as current leader, using their long distilling experience to experiment outside the familiar grappa category. History & Background

The Poli family's decision to venture into whisky production came naturally after more than a hundred years of grappa distilling, during which the family had already developed the necessary technical expertise in copper distillation. The whisky is made with the same philosophy of craftsmanship and quality that has made the family's grappa world-famous since 1898. Although whisky isn't the house's historic core product, it has become a natural addition to the broad range Jacopo Poli Jr. carries forward today.

Production & Style

The whisky is distilled with the same craftsmanship approach as the house's grappa and matured in a combination of French and Italian oak casks, often previously used for wine or grappa.
