  Last year, Lervig put their chocolate Original Sin base in barrels that had been used to store maple syrup in Quebec, Canada. The remaining syrup in the barrels gives a confectionery punch to this imperial stout. This is balanced by tobacco and toasted oak notes from the wood that was originally used for bourbon.
