  Simpsons 2020 Derringstone Pinot Meunier is a White Wine from Kent, United Kingdom, made from Pinot Meunier with an alcohol content of 12.5%. The grapes are hand-picked on the chalk slopes of the North Downs, where Charles and Ruth Simpson established their estate in 2012 after first making award-winning wine in the South of France since 2002. The wine is a Blanc de Noirs, gently whole-bunch pressed and slowly fermented using aromatic yeast strains, and it undergoes full malolactic conversion to build a creamy texture.

  Nose

  Ripe pear, apple and a hint of florals on the nose.

  Palate

  Clean and chalky on the palate with notes of poached winter fruit and a hint of balsamic.

  Finish

  The finish is creamy and long with a hint of red fruit.

  Serve chilled at 10-12°C in a white wine glass. Pairs well with shellfish, soft cheese or dishes with apple and pear.
