History & Background

Bols was founded in 1575 and is considered one of the world's oldest distilleries, originally known for genever, the Dutch forerunner of gin. Damrak was created as Bols's take on a modern, internationally minded London Dry Gin, named after the street Damrak that runs right past the house's roots in central Amsterdam. Today Damrak is one of Bols's most widely distributed gin brands outside the Netherlands.

Production & Style

The gin is distilled with a classic combination of juniper, coriander and angelica root, but stands out with a pronounced citrus profile that gives it a fresh, almost sparkling character suited to simple drinks.
