Lochlea is Scotch whisky with roots in poetry: the distillery sits on the very farm where Robert Burns himself once lived and worked the land. Experiments began in the old farm buildings in 2015, but it wasn't until 2018 that real distilling got properly underway. It's a young, family-owned project, quite literally distilling on Scotland's poetic soil.

Lochlea 2018/2023 is an exceptional 5-year-old single malt whisky from the Lowland region, distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2023. With an alcohol strength of 50% and non-chill-filtered, it retains its natural richness and complexity. It offers fresh notes of vanilla, ripe fruit, and honey, complemented by spicy undertones of cinnamon and nuts. The finish is long and full-bodied, with a pleasant warmth and hints of oak. This whisky has been aged in a meticulously chosen selection of five casks, handpicked by Production Director John Campbell, including two from the original filling back in 2018.
