Thirty years in cask is rare in the world of rum. This bottle is testament to what time can do to a distillate from one of Guyana's legendary stills.
Expert description
Enmore 1988/2018 30 Years Sherry Finish is a Rum from Guyana, distilled on the Enmore still, matured 30 years and finished in sherry casks, bottled by Bristol Classic Rum at 46.5%.
The rum comes from the historic Enmore still, one of the preserved wooden stills from the Demerara region in Guyana, distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2018 by English independent bottler Bristol Classic Rum. After first maturing in used bourbon casks for around 20 years, the rum was finished in sherry casks, adding an extra layer of flavour to the already mature distillate. Bristol Classic Rum is known for bottling only single still or single estate rum without added colour or filtration.
