Jim Beam is especially careful about this step in the process, where less water and large resources are used to preserve the flavors of the different cereals. After the blend has fermented, it is double distilled, so all impurities are removed. The actual storage of Jim Beam White takes place for four years on new American casks, carved on the inside, to extract the wood's natural sugars and create Jim Beam's soft and natural sweetness. Jim Beam White is the flagship of Jim Beam's distillery, founded in 1795 by the Beam family, who are still part of the business. The bourbon was named "Jim Beam" in 1933 after Colonel James B.
