“Since the founding of Skotlander Rum in 2013, my mission has been to do away with a notion that good rum only comes from the Caribbean, and that we can do nothing but schnapps here in Denmark. I wanted to make a clean rum made exclusively from the very best ingredients: sugar cane from some of the world's best producers, and clean water from the Danish subsoil. As well as using the best Danish distillers to perform the noble craft. It is also important for me to be honest and make it clear to the consumer what is in the bottle. We do not add sugar or other flavorings unless clearly stated on the label.

In addition, the cold Nordic climate leaves its mark on both the fermentation and the subsequent barrel storage.
