Batch 05 in the award-winning Smoke & Sherry series from Fary Lochan is a bold and characterful Danish single malt, crafted with passion and precision in the heart of Jutland. Aged for 6 years and 8 months, this whisky has matured in two 1st fill bourbon casks, one 2nd fill Oloroso sherry cask, and one 2nd fill PX sherry cask – a combination that delivers depth and complexity.

The spirit is made from Danish barley malt smoked over fresh nettles, giving it a mild, green and herbal smoke profile that’s unique to Fary Lochan. Bottled at 50.3% ABV and non-chill filtered, it retains its natural oils and full-bodied texture. Only 227 bottles have been released – a true small batch experience.

The flavour profile offers rich, oily sweetness from the sherry casks, balanced by notes of vanilla, dried fruit, malt, caramel and cane sugar. The smoke is subtle and elegant with a green touch, adding a distinctive signature. The finish is soft, rounded and pleasantly lingering.

Previous releases in the Smoke & Sherry series have earned high praise – including gold at The Fifty Best in New York – and sold out in record time. Batch 05 comes in a premium soft-touch tube with gold-coloured top and bottom lids, highlighting the craftsmanship and visual elegance of this exceptional whisky.
