Tormore 12-Year-Old Roslin Distillers is a remarkable bottling from the Tormore distillery, located in the heart of the Speyside region in Scotland. This whisky was distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2023, giving it an age of 12 years. It has been matured in a refill bourbon cask and bottled at an impressive cask strength of 63.5% ABV.

On the nose, you are greeted by classic ex-bourbon aromas, dominated by notes of vanilla bean, white grapes, honeydew melon, and a hint of the cask's character. Due to the high alcohol content, there may be a noticeable alcoholic presence, which can be softened with the addition of a little water.

On the palate, initial spicy pastry notes emerge, followed by vanilla. At full strength, the taste can be perceived as intense and spicy, with hints of burnt caramel and unripe stone fruits. Adding a few drops of water brings out notes of lemon zest and rounds off the tasting experience.

The finish of this whisky is long-lasting, with persistent spicy notes. As the intensity fades, tangy lemon notes emerge, while vanilla and spices remain present throughout.

Elegant dry sherry wine made from Pedro Ximénez grapes. The wine has a golden color and the first impression is of balsamic, nuts and spices. The winery Bodegas Toro Albalá is located in Aguilar de la Frontera, 50 km south of Córdoba, and was established in 1844 by Antonio Sánchez Prieto in a mill close to the town's castle. In 1922, José M. Toro Albalá moved production to the town's former power plant. The power plant offers ideal conditions for wine storage with plenty of cellars and underground rooms and corridors. The winery's average production is around 300,000 bottles per year. The cellars hold up to 6000 barrels of wine of all ages. Old rubber tires, unripe banana mixed with overripe papaya and guava, powerboat petrol... the nose brings all those quirky and wonderful rum tasting notes one might expect. But don’t be fooled! On the palate, a lighter and brighter side shines through as well, with delightful powdered citrus fruit juice and overly sweet lemonade, sherbet dip, Italian ice, and blue raspberry, softening the boozy funk from the nose.
