Tres Hombres Edition 27 Republica Dominicana Captains Choice is a Rum from the Dominican Republic, matured around 23 years in ex-bourbon casks and finished 4 months in Madeira casks, bottled at 64.9%.
The rum is transported by the schooner Tres Hombres, which sails emission-free across the Atlantic without an engine, and is subsequently bottled in Amsterdam by the Dutch company Fairtransport. During the four-month voyage, the rum matures further in Madeira casks, adding an extra dimension to its already long ageing. Edition 27 is a highly limited release at powerful cask strength.
