This fine glass is a replica of the original Jacobite glasses found in Scotland in the 18th century. In particular, they were used to toast the "The King across the Water", Bonnie Prince Charles. In 1745, after a failed attempt to overthrow the English king, he was forced into exile and never returned to the British Isles. The Scottish throne has not been claimed since, and the United Kingdom still exists to this day.
