After 12 months of extra maturation in these casks, this creates an elegant, golden whisky with interesting citrus notes, hints of grain and a good portion of vanilla. After a long maturation period in ex-Bourbon casks, Tullibardine 500 Sherry Finish is transferred to 500 liter ex-Sherry Butts for a further maturation of 12 months. This has created a deep, dark brown whisky with hints of malt balls and green apples, linked to vanilla, dates and spices that persist well into the finish.
