Yellow Rose Texas Rye Whiskey is the distillery's rye-forward expression, bottled at 45%. Yellow Rose Distilling was founded in 2010 by neighbours and friends Troy Smith and Ryan Baird together with Randy Whitaker, none of whom had prior experience in the spirits industry. In 2014 the distillery opened the first legal whiskey distillery and tasting room within Houston's city limits, making Yellow Rose the city's first commercial whiskey distillery.
