Little Brown Dog Brandy Petit Chien Brun Single Cask Cognac 1993 France 70 cl 50.1%

This French cognac is truly something special. Distilled on November 30, 1993, it was matured in France before being moved to Scotland for the final part of its journey. It was bottled there on October 26, 2024. Due to the regulations surrounding the use of the term "Cognac," the label reads "French Brandy," as the bottling took place outside of France. However, don’t be misled by the name – the liquid inside is the same exquisite spirit that would have been called Cognac if bottled in France. Its relocation from France to Scotland has in no way affected its quality or character.

Only 232 bottles have been drawn from this single cask, bottled at its natural strength. This makes it an even more exclusive and sought-after release among connoisseurs.

The color of this brandy is exactly like a classic Grande Champagne Cognac – somewhat unusual, yet undeniably a visual delight.

On the nose, this brandy reveals notes of Sirop de Liège (a sweet syrup made from apples and pears), lichen, and a subtle hint of antique shop aromas that evoke a sense of nostalgia.

The palate is rich and complex, with flavors of caramelized pineapple, apricot tart, and buttery pastry that practically melts on the tongue. It’s an experience that evolves with every sip.

The finish is long and warm, with a sweetness reminiscent of Highland toffee, complemented by a touch of festive spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. This combination makes this French brandy a perfect dram for the winter months or an elegant conclusion to a fine meal.

Little Brown Dog 31 Year Brandy Petit Chien Brun Single Cask Cognac 1993 France 70 cl 50.8%

Little Brown Dog Petit Chien Brun is a 31‑year‑old Single Cask French Brandy bottled at 50.8% – a deeply charming and uncompromising release that tastes and smells so much like Grande Champagne Cognac that you almost forget it is technically “just” brandy, simply because it was bottled in Scotland. Distilled in 1993, filled into cask on 30/11/1993 and bottled on 17/10/2025, only six weeks short of turning 32, but LBD could – and would – not wait any longer.

This bottling is a sister cask to Little Brown Dog’s previous Early Landed Late Bottled (ELLB) Vintage French Brandies, and the style is just as luxurious: deep, intense, fruity, and wonderfully complex. Only 210 bottles were drawn from this single cask, natural colour, no added colouring, no chill filtration – pure, honest, mature brandy with everything intact.

The colour is described as “Vimto” – dark, fruity, and enticing. On the nose you meet blackcurrant cordial (Ribena), prune juice, and dried heather. The palate offers classic French notes: Pruneaux d’Agen, alpine strawberry jam, and marrons glacés, all wrapped in a silky, mature texture. The finish brings dark chocolate‑dipped black cherries that linger long on the palate.

This is a spirit that demands calm and time: a good glass, a comfortable chair, and space to explore everything happening in the glass. A bottling for those who love old cognac but also appreciate discovering something unique that delivers the same quality at a fraction of the price.

The label is a warm nod to the two previous ELLB releases: French racing blue from the first edition combined with the Fleur de Lis motif from “part deux” – a visual salute to Cognac, where this Early Landed Late Bottled Vintage French Brandy was originally distilled.

A bottle for collectors, cognac lovers, and anyone who wants to experience how far great, long‑aged French brandy can go when it is allowed to stand entirely on its own.

Spring 2024, Little Brown Dog released a blended malt whisky from Campbeltown named Wee Broon Electric Coo. After that bottling, a small amount of whisky still remained in the casks, and instead of letting it go to waste, Little Brown Dog decided to create a new edition – this time a mega blended malt as a tribute to the three iconic distilleries (still in production) in Campbeltown.

One of the conditions for purchasing these casks was that they had to be used for a blend. The whisky is therefore composed of a unique combination of:

- 9 year-old Glen Scotia
- 12 and 16 year-old Kilkerran
- 10 and 21 year-old Springbank

All matured in first fill bourbon casks and refill sherry casks.

The purpose of this whisky is simple: it should be accessible to everyone. No waiting lists, no ballots – just an honest Campbeltown whisky made for pure enjoyment. The result is a dram that brings together the best of the region: an oily texture, deep complexity and a long, satisfying finish – just as long as the sunny days during the summer season.

A loving touch of humor can also be seen on the label, where three dairy cows represent the three distilleries. This fits perfectly with Little Brown Dog’s background, as the company is owned by a farmer and a former veterinarian – while also paying tribute to Campbeltown’s agricultural heritage, symbolized by the green background of the label.

Little Brown Dog Gin Aberdeenshire Foraged Gin Scotland 70 cl 43%

The independent bottler Little Brown Dog produces their own gin at the distillery and bottles it under their own brand - all bottles are adorned with the little brown dog, which is the company's hallmark. LBD Gin is the signature Scottish gin from Little Brown Dog Spirits. The dry botanicals are allowed to steep in base alcohol for twelve hours overnight before the fresh botanicals are added the following day. Using custom copper botanical baskets, which are hung in the neck of the still, the vapors slowly rise and pass through the fresh botanicals, carefully extracting oils and flavor compounds, along with the flavors released from the steeped botanicals. Botanicals include a blend of locally sourced and cultivated botanicals as well as some imported botanicals. These include juniper, coriander, wood sorrel, rhubarb, birch sap, and parsnip. The result is a gin rich in juniper, with waves of citrus, floral, and woodland notes, rounded off with a hint of petrichor.
