The whisky clearly reflects Orkney’s distinctive character, where gentle, aromatic smoke, natural sweetness and sherry‑influenced notes come together in a harmonious whole.

The aroma opens with dark honey, dried fruit, orange peel and a soft, rounded smoke that sits elegantly in the background. Beneath the surface you’ll find hints of nuts, spices and a light floral note that adds both warmth and finesse. Distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2024, this Islands whisky has matured in a single hogshead (cask #3535), resulting in a limited release of only 292 bottles.

The whisky offers a classic nose with a gentle coastal aroma, straw, and honey, with a hint of smoke. The palate is rich and full-bodied, featuring notes of citrus, lemon sorbet, roasted pears, and white pepper, topped with a touch of light smoke. The finish is long, ending with Highland Park’s signature peat notes. Non-chill filtered and naturally colored.

Released in 2023 as part of Hunter Laing's prestigious Kinship series, this 27-year-old Highland Park is a masterfully matured Orkney single malt that exudes elegance, complexity, and remarkable character. Aged in a single cask and bottled at natural cask strength, it achieves a refined balance. Expect aromas of baked pears and heather honey on the nose, followed by sweet notes of honey, mandarin, passion fruit, and black pepper throughout the palate.
