Tailored is a premium blended whisky from the renowned Japanese distillery Nikka. The name "Tailored", as the whisky is called, refers to the unique blend that is tailored from different components from the two distilleries Miyagikyo and Yoichi, both owned by Nikka distillery. The beautiful design of the bottle is also inspired by the Japanese national costume, the kimono, as a perfect introduction to the elegant Japanese style that the whisky offers. In French it is called Eau de Vie, here in Denmark we call it fruit brandy. The method is basically the same: you collect the best fruit, ferment it, distill it and bottle it. And this is more or less how Fillipa Æblebrændevin has been made from the very beginning, using good North Jutland apples in the hand-built kettles at Nordisk Brænderi. Both the aroma and taste are almost vinous and take you back to childhood apple blossoms on warm late summer evenings. The notes are distinctly fruity, the alcohol is well-balanced and it lingers long and pleasantly in the mouth.
