Montepeloso Gabbro 2013 is an "outstanding" Italian Cabernet Sauvignon! It is considered to be Italy's absolute best CB and by all wine critics worldwide. The grapes come from vines that are up to 40 years old. The wine is aged 18 months in barrels made from 80% new wood. It is then aged in the bottle, usually for about 9 months before release and annual production averages a modest 3000 bottles Gabbro 2013 is a very intense wine with lots of power. It is dominated by dark fruits, blackcurrant, herbs, cedar and tobacco.
