Hiraeth is a difficult word to translate into other languages, some say 'longing' or 'homesickness', or perhaps "a longing for your homeland, your heritage and your being". This whisky is an ex-Bourbon cask finish and is bottled at 46% vol. This is the first time Penderyn has released a core range of single malts that primarily use spirits from pot stills, which they introduced in 2014.
