Macallan Travel Series 1940s Forties is a historically inspired edition with floral complexity and gentle peat smoke – created as a stylistic interpretation of Macallan during and after World War II.

This rare Travel Series bottling was composed by Macallan’s Master Distiller to recreate the distillery’s character in the 1940s – a time marked by war, raw material shortages, and changing production methods. The scarcity of sherry casks led to frequent reuse of existing barrels, and peat was once again used to dry the malt, giving the whisky a smokier and drier profile than modern Macallan.
