Some Cognacs are made to be sold. Memoire is made to be remembered, a gathering of the oldest eaux-de-vie in Gourry de Chadeville's cellars, brought together under a name that points directly back to four hundred years of memory.
Expert's Description
Gourry de Chadeville Memoire 1er Cru French Cognac is a Cognac from Grande Champagne, at least 25 years old, bottled at 40%.
Gourry de Chadeville is the world's oldest Cognac house, founded in 1619, and the family's exceptional landholdings in Grande Champagne give it a base for producing the very best the appellation can offer. Production is strictly limited, and constant demand from French connoisseurs minimises the quantity that can be spared for export.
Memoire shows a concentrated style with dark nuances, the result of decades of ageing in Limousin oak on the estate itself, far removed from the standardised Cognac found in airports around the world.

Did You Know?
Did you know that Gourry de Chadeville's limited production is sold mainly within France, where local connoisseurs keep demand so high that only a small share of its oldest Cognacs, such as Memoire, ever reach the international market.
