Over the years there have been some changes, but the smooth Lovland Malt hasn't changed. The name is pronounced "Ock-un-tosh-un" and is Gaelic for "corner of the field", illustrating the distillery's location at its founding. Tirple Distilled and matured in American Bourbon barrels - then finished in Spanish Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, hence the name three Wood. A Lowland Single Malt Whisky that has dark fruit, rich caramel and roasted hazelnuts. All this mixed with the characteristic soft and delicate Auchentoshan taste.

Moving from American Bourbon to Spanish Oloroso Sherry - and finally Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks - Three Wood is a rich, complex whisky with incredible toffee and sherry oak flavours. Tasting Notes To The Eye Rich golden bronze. To The Nose Blackcurrant, brown sugar, orange, plum and raisin. To The Tongue Fruit and syrup. Hazelnut with hints of cinnamon and lemon. A butterscotch sweetness adds to the overall complexity. To The End Fresh and fruity, with long lasting oaky sweetness.
