  Expert Description

  RomDeLuxe Limited Batch Series No. 1 Ghana Arc is a Ghana Rum distilled from pure cane juice, aged on new American oak casks in Europe and bottled at 60.3%.

  The rum comes from Ghana, an unusual origin in the rum world, where it's double-distilled in traditional stills from pure cane juice rather than molasses. After distillation, the rum was shipped to Europe, where it aged entirely in new American oak casks, a maturation path markedly different from the tropical ageing most Caribbean rum undergoes. The release is limited to 188 bottles from this single batch.

  The result is a lively, complex rum where the estery, agricole-like freshness of the cane juice meets a distinct, young oak character from the new casks.

  Nose

  Fresh, light wood and ester, with light caramel, fruitiness and a touch of nuts and clove.

Echo of Glory is RomDeLuxe's take on that greener, fresher side of rum, matured under Caribbean sun.

  RomDeLuxe Echo of Glory is a Caribbean Rum made from pure sugarcane juice, tropically aged and bottled at 41.2%.

  RomDeLuxe is the Danish bottler behind this release. The company started in 2016 as a hobby project among a handful of rum enthusiasts who simply wanted to share some interesting casks, and has since grown into a bottler known well beyond Denmark's borders, today based in Haslev. The name is best known for its cask-strength single casks under lines like Wild Series and Collectors Series, where the proof often sits north of 60%. Echo of Glory shows a different, more approachable side of the house.

  Rum made from pure sugarcane juice differs from the far more common molasses rum by keeping some of the cane's own, almost green character instead of drawing purely on the heavier sweetness of a by-product. Tropical ageing pushes the process along fast — the heat gets the rum working with the wood at a pace a cooler climate simply couldn't match.

  RomDeLuxe Selected Series Rum no. 4 Caribbean Blend is a Caribbean Rum blended from rum from Guyana and the Dominican Republic, aged 12 years through a solera process and bottled at 42%.

  The blend unites the heavy, molasses-driven character of Guyanese rum with the softer, cleaner style of Dominican rum, all cask-aged in American ex-bourbon casks. The solera process means younger and older rum are continuously blended together, giving a consistent, deeply complex character. RomDeLuxe selected this combination as the fourth release in the house's Selected Series to show how two rum nations' styles can reinforce each other in a single bottle.

  The result is a sweet but well-balanced rum, where caramel and burnt wood provide richness without becoming overwhelming.
