Australian rum is a rarity on Danish shelves, and this bottle from the Beenleigh distillery is one of the more obscure styles RomDeLuxe has brought home.
Expert Description
RomDeLuxe Wild Series Rum #40 is an Australian Single Cask Rum distilled at Beenleigh Artisan Distillery and bottled at cask strength 67%.
The rum carries the mark MAIC10 and is made from molasses, distilled in August 2007. It first matured for 10 years in an American ex-bourbon cask, number 25, in Australia, before the cask was sent to Europe, where it matured for a further 5 years, bringing the rum to a total age of 15 years. From this single cask, only 259 numbered bottles were produced, bottled brut de fût, meaning straight from the cask without filtration or additives.
