Fruit concentrated, complex aromas and flavors of blackcurrant, pepper, plum, leather and smoked wood, rounded out beautifully by undertones of licorice, chocolate and soft tannins. The grapes are hand-picked and packed in small boxes, then taken to the winery for further sorting before fermentation begins in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged for 12 months in 48% new barrels, 52% French oak and 48% American oak.
