Chimay Peres Trappistes Fermentée En Barriques 2018 37,5cl / 10,5% Chimay Grande Reserve is the strongest and one of the best known Trappist beers. It is dark brown and complex with a thick, beige head. The taste is rich, creamy and port-like with notes of dark berries. The aftertaste is long and intense, the dark sugar added to the beer is clearly noticeable. The beer is unpasteurized, unfiltered and secondary fermented in the bottle. Chimay Grand Reserve is a dark Trappist beer with a strong aroma that improves over the years. Originally brewed as a Christmas beer, but due to its popularity it is now brewed all year round. Ideally served at a temperature of 10° to 12° C.
